Martha was born and raised in Toronto and received her foundation in faith as a youngster while attending Grace Church with her family. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University in Ottawa in 1989, the same year she moved to Zimbabwe and two years later Johannesburg, South Africa.

Micah was born and raised in Chicago. He is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and Duke Divinity School (NC). Since 2020 he has lived in Toronto with his wife, Claire, a native of Montreal who is also an Anglican priest. 

Jonathan was born in Korea, raised in Singapore, and has lived in the U.K., the U.S., and Canada. He has a B.A. from Oxford University, where he read Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School
