Our Safe Environment Policy
The wardens and clergy of Grace Church on-the-Hill are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all people. It is our duty and responsibility to ensure our church is a place where all can participate fully.

As a community of faith, we affirm every individual is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion. As such, we uphold the following:

Zero Tolerance for Violence or Harassment
Any form of physical, emotional, verbal, or sexual violence, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. This includes conduct that intimidates, humiliates, or demeans any person.

Commitment to Non-Discrimination
We embrace the diversity of all God’s people and prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, colour, national or ethnic origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, ability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Respectful Conduct and Accountability
All clergy, staff, volunteers, and members are expected to model respect, integrity, and care in their words and actions. Anyone who experiences or witnesses behaviour inconsistent with these values is encouraged to report it promptly and without fear of retaliation.

Safe Ministry Practices
The church is implementing policies and training to ensure the physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of all participants—especially minors and vulnerable adults—within all ministries, programs, and activities.

Responding to Concerns
Reports of violence, discrimination, or harassment will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and addressed in accordance with church policy and applicable law. Appropriate pastoral, disciplinary, and protective measures will be taken as needed. Reports may be submitted to the wardens and/or clergy.

Through prayer, vigilance, and mutual respect, we commit ourselves to being a community where every person can worship, serve, and grow in faith without fear or harm.
