Columbarium

The Columbarium at Grace Church on-the-Hill provides a unique opportunity for those who choose cremation to have their remains immured within one of Toronto's oldest and most beautiful Anglican churches. The Columbarium comprises 216 niches, each faced with marble and a bronze plaque. Each niche is capable of accommodating one or two internments.

The cost of a niche is $2000. When purchased, 15% of that is put into a perpetual maintenance fund with the Diocese and the remaining $1700 is processed as deferred revenue until the niche is occupied. 

 

At the time of purchase, $125 is added to the price for engraving. We look after the plaques with a company called Imperial Engraving. They maintain blanks in our size and colour of bronze and we send a proof to them for production which is approved by the family. It takes about a week. 

 

A niche can also be reserved for future use.
