The Venerable Peter J.C. Scott
Honorary Assistant

Archdeacon Peter Scott served as a priest in the Anglican Diocese of Niagara for over 30 years. He concluded his ministry in the fall of 2025 as Rector of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Orangeville. Previous to his ministry in Orangeville, he was Rector of St. James, Port Colborne, and prior to that as an Assistant Curate at St. Luke’s, Burlington. Before the call to ordained ministry, Peter was a teacher at Kashechewan, a reserve on James Bay, and St. John’s-Kilmarnock, an independent school near Kitchener-Waterloo. Peter was made an Honorary Canon of Christ’s Church Cathedral, Hamilton, in 2006 and Archdeacon of Greater Wellington in 2009. Peter is married to Elizabeth, a retired teacher, and they have two children, Rebecca and Ethan, and a dog named Tasker. He is very much looking forward to serving in God’s church and proclaiming the good news of Jesus to all people living in these turbulent times. Peter and Elizabeth were warmly welcomed by the clergy and people of Grace Church on-the-Hill. Peter hopes that everyone who comes to Grace will be welcomed as he was and he will do all that he can to make that happen along with everyone at Grace.
